Our review policy

How StarRep solicits, moderates, drafts and discloses. Written so a regulator could read it without a follow-up question.

What it doesn't do

We do not remove reviews, and we cannot remove reviews. Google owns that decision and we do not petition it on a practice’s behalf for reasons of rating.

We do not gate. There is no survey, score or fork in front of a review link.

We do not filter the ask list by predicted sentiment, past behaviour or any other proxy for how kind a review is likely to be.

We do not offer, and do not permit a practice to offer, anything of value in exchange for a review.

Solicitation

Every contact a practice uploads or connects is asked. The ask is the same wording for everyone, on the same cadence: an email on day 0, and one reminder on day 7 to people who opened but did not act. Nobody is excluded on the basis of an expected rating.

Consent state is checked before each send. A contact who has not given the consent email requires is not sent to, and an unsubscribe stops all further sends immediately and permanently.

Incentives

No discount, gift, entry, credit or service benefit may be offered in exchange for a review, for a positive review, or for removing a negative one. The product has no mechanism to attach an incentive to a request, and accounts found doing it out of band are terminated.

Moderation

StarRep does not moderate reviews. It does not hide, reorder, delay or suppress any review on a practice’s profile, and it does not display a filtered subset anywhere. Reposting is opt-in per review and is the practice’s own advertising decision — a repost never implies that the reposted review is representative.

AI drafting and disclosure

Replies are drafted with AI assistance and are never published automatically. A person at the practice approves, edits or discards every draft, at every rating.

Where the state a practice operates in requires disclosure of AI-assisted or synthetic content, StarRep applies that disclosure to the published item. The list of states and their requirements is maintained centrally and updated as the law changes.

Authenticity

StarRep does not write reviews, does not host review content of its own, and does not have any means of creating a review on a profile. Every review is written by the person whose name is on it. Where a review is quoted in advertising, it is quoted unedited and used with permission.

Reporting a concern

If you believe a StarRep customer has solicited reviews improperly, write to conduct@starrep.io with the profile and the detail. We investigate every report and we suspend accounts while we do.
